In Year Two we have lots of fun with Mrs Murray and Mrs Purdham.

We have to work really hard to prepare for our SATS at the end of the year.

Think you could be as clever as us? Click here to try some of our Year Two SATs questions.

This term we will be reading and writing our own versions of Fairy Tales, reading and writing adventure stories and reading and writing some riddles. Throughout all of our writing we will be trying to achieve our writing targets and improve our use of VCOP. We will also be revising our phonics (sounds made by different letters and groups of letters), in preparation for our SATS.

In Numeracy we have been focusing on our problem solving skills. The tricky thing is working out which number operation to use. We will also be practising our doubling and halving skills and using our data collecting and presenting skills.

In Science will be finding about plants and animals in the local area, variation, and medicines.

In ICT we will be using CD Roms to find out information and learning how to use a digi-blu camera to take a photograph and to make a short video.

In Design we will be investigating and making vehicles and puppets with moving parts.

In Year Two some of us are learning to play the violin!
