Welcome Letter from our Headteacher

Headteacher's Welcome

Tuesday 12th February 2008

Dear Parents and Friends of St. Michael's,

As Headteacher of our lovely school, I am delighted to welcome you to our website.

St. Michael's is a happy and purposeful place where we are all valued. A warm welcome awaits you and your child. If you would like to see us in action, then please arrange an appointment and we would be pleased to show you around our school.

We view ourselves as a school at the heart of St. Michael's Parish and we have very close links with the Church. Father O'Gorman, our Parish Priest, is a regular visitor in school and is loved by all of the children.

At St. Michael's we work together to provide a stimulating and varied education for your child. We believe in the education of the whole child and we try to provide a range of extra-curricular activities for the children to enjoy.

The children are central to everything we do; we have both high standards and high expectations; we expect both staff and children to always do their best.

Respect and good manners are both positively promoted at St. Michael's. We have a very committed staff who care greatly for the all-round welfare of the children and contribute significantly to the lovely ethos and atmosphere that exists in school.

Both parents and governors are very supportive and want the best for St. Michael's.

The most important people in our school are the children. We are very fortunate to have lovely children who work hard and enjoy the range of activities that are provided for them.

I hope that you enjoy browsing this website to gain a flavour of the interesting and exciting opportunities that we offer. Please contact us if there is anything else that you would like to know about our school.

Finally, I would like to thank Miss Madeleine Horn, Miss Sarah Horne and Miss Claire Rushworth and all of the children from the ICT Club who have done all of the work to enable us to launch our website - keep up the good work!

Best Wishes,

Paul Foster

Headteacher
